What happened to iHeartRadio? ›

In 2018, iHeartMedia, aiming to cut its debt of around $20 billion in half, filed for what was described as the largest bankruptcy of that year and the 30th largest ever.

Roberts departed WBAP on or about August 2, 2023. A job posting seeking talent for the time slot appeared on the company website. Roberts has been a guest host on national shows including The Savage Nation and Red Eye Radio.

In September 2014, it was announced that the company would be renamed from Clear Channel Communications to iHeartMedia, alluding to its iHeartRadio platform to reflect the company's growing emphasis on digital media and internet radio.
