Johnnie G. Bell, 18, Oakley, was cited for reckless driving by state police in a one car-collision Sunatfernoon when the 1947 Chevrolet driving overturned in a borrow pit seven and onehalf south and one and onemiles east of Hansen. Bell was going south on the gravel road at an excessive speed and when he applied the brakes, the right front wheel caught and the car skidded 185 feet until it rolled over in the borrow pit, Bell incurred a fractured rib in the accident and was taken to the Twin Falls Clinic hospital where he was released Monday afternoon. The other passengers in the car, Arlo Anderson and Ronnie Walton, both Oakley, were unharmed.

State Patrolman H. E. Carr investigated. Charles P. Larsen, Twin Falls, was cited by state police Sunday morning for failure to yield the right of way four and one-half miles east of Hansen on U.S.

highway 30 near the overpass, causing a two-car collision. Larsen made a left turn off the highway going 20 miles per hour, AS Archie Rudolph, 59, Twin Falls, was driving from the opposite direction on curved upgrade. The two cars collided. Damages to Rudolph's car and boat trailer were estimated at $400. Larsen's car was damaged on the left front fender and bumper.

State Patrolman H. E. Carr was arresting officer. Dennis J. Robertson, Burley, and Charles R.

Breezee, Rupert, were fined 1 $50 and costs each by Burley Justice of the Peace J. L. Weldon over the week-end for speeding 70 miles per hour in a posted 35-mile zone. The youths were failing to be reasonable and prudent, Judge Weldon stated. Thirty demerit points each were levied against the two drivers.

State Patrolman Marvin Snyder was arresting officer. Anthony Martinez, 17, was fined $35 and costs by Police Judge J. O. Pumphrey Monday morning for driving 55 miles per hour in a 25- mile zone Thursday on Main avenue north. For driving 36 miles per hour Friday in the 25-mile zone on the 500 block on Blue Lakes boulevard, Archie Adamson, 25, Twin Falls, was fined $11 and costs Saturday by Police Judge J.

O. Pumphrey. Clyde Myrick, 69, Jerome, was fined $15 by Jolice Judge Roberta Kehrer Monday for failure to yield the right of way. He was cited after an accident Sunday evening at the intersection of East Main avenue and Cleveland street in Jerome. Myrick started to make a left turn and drove into the front of a 1959 Ford driven by Edward C.

Boguslawski, 18, Jerome. Damage was set at $200 to the Ford and $100 to Myrick's car. U.S. to Abandon Excise Tax Stamp WASHINGTON, May 11 (P) The government today abandoned its policy of collecting liquor and cigarette excise taxes through the sale of tax stamps. Starting June 24, the Industries will pay the tax by filing returns twice a month.

About four billion dollars now 1s collected each year through the sale of such stamps. The industries have long lobbied for scrapping of stamp system. They complained that large amounts of working capital were tied up because they had to buy the stamps in advance of bottling or packaging their products. Under the new system, distillers and tobacco manufacturers will file returns twice a month covering shipments during the preceding 15 days. Taxes will be paid when returns are filed.

Bomber Crashes, Killing Nine Men OAK HARBOR, May 11 (UPI)-A navy P2V Neptune patrol bomber crashed and burned after taking off today from the Whidbey island naval air station three miles north of here and nine of the 10 men aboard were killed, the navy said. Woman Lives After Attack Of Leukemia CHICAGO, May 11 WA New York woman, afflicted with the nearly always fatal blood cancer known as leukemia, has recovered and remained well for more than five, the years, journal her of physician the American reports Medical association.

In 1953, after typical treatment which included blood transfusions and liver extract injections, the patient lost the leukemia. City police said Dunn was pulling from a parking space when the accident occurred. No citations were issued. Damages to Dunn's estimated at $15 and to Commons' car at $55.

In another Sunday accident, Verdia F. Sipkens, 59, Blue Lakes Trailer park, pulled from the curb to enter U. S. highway 93 near Falls avenue and into the path of a 1959 Chevrolet stationwagon driven by Arthur R. Harris, 50, Jerome, Harris had pulled ahead of a truck on the highway and when he saw the Sipkens' car, he swerved in attempt to avoid a collision.

The fenders of both cars hit. Deputy Sheriff J. F. Wilkerson reported that conditions made it difficult for Sipkens to obtain a clear view of the vehicles on the highway. No citations were issued.

The rear of his car hit the spare tire of the truck and rear dual wheels of the trailer ran over the back part of his car.

Deputy Sheriff Curtis Pryor estimated damage of $300 to Garrison's car and $50 to the truck. The truck was driven by Donald McDaniel, 40, San Lorenzo, Calif. Car Accident Injures Girls Three girls, one only 3 years old, were injured in a collision Sunday at the intersection of Fourth avenue and Third street east. Kay 3, Kathy Pettingill, 15, both Filer, and Beverly Brown, 17, Twin Falls, were passengers in the 1954 Oldsmobile driven by Larry J. Pettingill, 19, Filer, Sunday afternoon when his vehicle collided at the intersection with a 1952 Plymouth driven by Raymond Dyer, 19, Filer.

In Dyer's car were his wife and children. The 3 year old girl, Kay PettingiM, received a bruised mouth, her older sister received a lacerated forehead, and Miss Brown received lacerations on her right knee. Nobody was injured in Dyer's car. Air Force Buys New Rocket Fuel WASHINGTON, May 11 (UPI)The force disclosed today it 'is buying on a large scale the "ultimate" chemical rocket fuel- -liquid hydrogen-which is nearly three times as powerful as current propellants. Lieut.

Gen, Bernard A. Schriever, air force research and development chief, said in a statement that new rocket engines using liquid hydrogen "will provide substantial payload increases in upper stages of missile and space vehicles." "These applications," Schriever said, "along with use in nuclear rockets, signify missile and space capabilities considerably beyond the horizons of pre-liquid hydrogen technology." The general said liquid hydrogen is nearly three times as powerful as previous fuels. When mixed with liquid oxygen, he said, the new propellant will give rockets 40 per cent more thrust.
